POSITION OVERVIEW/

As a key member of the Finance team reporting to the VP of Finance, the Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for managing the full scope of the receivables function. This role is central to optimizing cash flow, maintaining accurate and compliant financial records, and driving process improvements across the billing and collections cycle.

You will ensure that all revenue-related transactions are properly invoiced, tracked, and collected, while also applying a strategic lens to identify and resolve discrepancies, build cross-functional alignment, and enhance AR reporting to support informed decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES/

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process, including invoice generation, payment application, and reconciliation.
  • Document AR processes and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Review sales contracts and service agreements to align invoicing with agreed terms and milestones.
  • Ensure customer billing is accurate, timely, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor AR aging reports and proactively pursue collections on overdue accounts while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Investigate and resolve complex billing and payment discrepancies in collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams.
  • Process, allocate, and reconcile incoming payments (ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, and checks) across multiple platforms.
  • Prepare and analyze AR metrics and reports, including aging schedules, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and bad debt analyses.
  • Maintain accurate customer records within the ERP/accounting system, including payment terms, credit limits, and tax documentation.
  • Support month-end close activities by ensuring accurate revenue and receivable transaction capture and reconciliation.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and supporting schedules.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements, automation tools, and internal controls to enhance AR accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive customer satisfaction, minimize AR risk, and optimize collections.
  • Must be comfortable working 100% in-office.

QUALIFICATION/

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting roles; experience in a SaaS or subscription-based environment is a strong asset.
  • Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounting best practices
  • Proficiency in NetSuite is required.
  • Strong skills with Google Workspace, Google Sheets, or Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and professional approach to customer interactions.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience supporting audits and month-end closing processes is preferred.
