JOB SUMMARY ASI is on the supply list for trusted AI vendors to the Government of Canada and has active customers in this channel. You will be getting in on the ground floor in a lucrative channel that will be yours to grow. You will be responsible for prospecting new clients across all government departments and closing sales.
DUTIES
- Monitoring all government procurement lists to find opportunities for ASI
- Run full sales-cycle, from lead to close, and create project proposals for ASI’s emerging business prospects
- Lead proposal writing
- Give presentations at government conferences
- Identify conferences key for ASI to attend for market growth and working with the marketing team to establish relationships with conference organizers
- Travel to and attend industry events as an ASI representative
WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Must have previous experience with demonstrated success selling into the Government of Canada.
- Resident in Canada, preferably Ottawa.
- Proficiency with Government of Canada procurement channels
- You are a go-getter and self-starter who has no issue reaching out to cold prospects and creating new business opportunities for ASI
- Customer and people oriented: You are great with people and enjoy building and maintaining relationships with customers. You have experience listening to and understanding customer needs, leveraging resources to meet customer goals, and working on projects end to end.
- Creative thinker and problem solver: You love finding innovative and creative solutions to solve customer problems and are no stranger to navigating challenges to get the job done.
- Startup Mindset: You enjoy the fast pace of the startup world and are interested in joining a small team that is working in a state of constant change and ambiguity. We need people who see open space and want to tackle it, not wait to be told what to do. We need drivers, not passengers.
EXPERIENCE
- 5-7 years’ experience selling to or lobbying within or outside of the Government of Canada, preferably working with a tech partner
- College or university degree is an asset but not obligatory for a sharp candidate with good communications skills
- Bilingual (English and French) preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and make independent decisions.
