What You Will Do:

Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Account Executive, Programs is responsible for driving new business growth within private sector markets, with a primary focus on multi-residential opportunities.

This is a newly created, full-time permanent role and an exciting opportunity for sales professionals who thrive on challenge, enjoy building a pipeline from the ground up, and closing new business. You'll own the full sales cycle end-to-end - prospecting developers, property managers, and building owners; leading discovery across complex, multi-stakeholder deals; and driving opportunities from first touch through contract execution. Success in this role demands consistent activity paired with sharp execution at every stage, and the ability to sell a solution, not just a product.

We're looking for someone entrepreneurial by nature - a self-starter who operates with autonomy, builds momentum in an evolving market, and treats their territory like their own business. If you're a driven closer who wants a seat at the table in a growing company, where your performance directly shapes the trajectory of the business and your earnings, this is the opportunity to bet on yourself.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Development & Prospecting:

  • Proactively source and generate new business opportunities through outbound outreach, including personalized emails, calls, LinkedIn engagement, industry events, and referrals.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously refine a target account list within the multi-residential sector, including developers, property managers, and building owners.
  • Execute consistent and disciplined outbound activity to generate qualified opportunities.
  • Take ownership of territory development, identifying new opportunities and adjusting approach as needed.
  • Represent the company in external settings, including industry events and meetings, to build awareness and generate leads.

Full-Cycle Sales Execution:

  • Own the entire sales process from first contact through to contract execution.
  • Conduct structured discovery conversations to assess customer needs, timelines, decision-making processes, and overall fit.
  • Apply a solution-based sales approach to align offerings with customer requirements and operational considerations.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and presentations tailored to the audience and opportunity.
  • Prepare proposals and supporting materials aligned with customer requirements.
  • Manage negotiations and close agreements in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain momentum across all active opportunities through consistent follow-up and clear next steps.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments, engaging with a range of contacts including operations teams, property management, and ownership groups.

Pipeline & CRM Management:

  • Build and maintain a healthy, self-sourced pipeline aligned with monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Accurately track all sales activity, meetings, deal stages, and next steps within CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Maintain clear visibility into pipeline performance, including risks, timelines, and priorities.
  • Use pipeline insights to support forecasting and prioritize efforts effectively.
  • Take full ownership of pipeline development and deal progression to ensure consistent performance against targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams to support opportunity scoping, pricing, and overall deal readiness.
  • Ensure a smooth and structured transition of closed deals to implementation teams, including clear documentation of scope, timelines, and expectations.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment, adapting to new processes, priorities, and market conditions.
  • Communicate relevant market feedback and insights to internal stakeholders to support ongoing improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account executive roles, preferably in a hunter capacity.
  • Proven ability to independently generate pipeline and close new business.
  • Experience with solution-based selling in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience working with or selling into private sector real estate, including developers, property managers, or multi-residential portfolios, is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, including taking initiative, managing ambiguity, and building processes where needed.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Clear and effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage pipeline, activity tracking, and forecasting.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.

What We Have to Offer You:

  • Competitive base salary ($60,000 - $75,000) plus commission
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Group RRSP with employer matching
  • Annual Health Care Spending Account (HCSA)
  • Expanded mental-health and medical-practitioner support for employees and their dependents
  • Flexible vacation and paid time off
  • Central Ottawa office location
  • A FoodCycler unit for your own kitchen
