About GameStrat

GameStrat is one of the fastest-growing tech startups and the market leader in instant video replay software for football teams and tactical training groups. Founded by former University of Ottawa football players, it began as a tool to give their team a competitive advantage on game day and quickly evolved into the go-to solution for football programs, as well as for defense and law enforcement organizations.

Now trusted by over 1,000 teams and organizations across North America, GameStrat is known for its speed, reliability, and ease of use, helping football coaches on game day while also providing tactical units with a powerful tool to enhance training and evaluations.

About This Role

The football season is our Super Bowl. From mid-August through November, we're the team behind the teams, solving problems on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights so coaches can stay focused on the game in front of them.

We're hiring Customer Support Associates to join our team for the 2026 football season. The role is designed to flex around your availability. Depending on your schedule and ours, this could look like:

  • A full-time 6-month contract starting in June, fully integrated into our Customer Success team with a schedule built around peak game day windows
  • A part-time seasonal role covering Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shifts during the football season (August through November)

We're open to both shapes, and we'll figure out the right fit together during the interview process. If you're excited about the work but unsure which version suits you, apply anyway and tell us what you're looking for.

What You'll Do

  • Take live support calls from football coaches running GameStrat on game days
  • Troubleshoot our hardware and software in real-time, often under pressure
  • Become an expert in our products and the coaches who rely on them
  • Document tickets and escalations to help us improve the product
  • Work closely with our Customer Success team

When You'd Work

Game-day coverage runs roughly Thursday 4pm-10pm ET, Friday 4pm-12am ET, and Saturday 10am-10pm ET during football season. If you're on the full-time contract, you'd also work regular weekday hours during the week (with a balance day mid-week to offset weekend shifts).

Training and onboarding runs through June and July, so the earlier you can start, the stronger you'll be heading into season kickoff.

Who This Is For

The schedule is unusual, and it won't suit everyone. It tends to work well for:

  • Students with weekday morning classes
  • Recent graduates looking to break into sports tech or SaaS
  • People with day jobs, side hustles, or caregiver roles who want evenings and weekends
  • Former football players, coaches, or referees who love the game and want a role close to it
  • Career switchers exploring customer-facing tech work
  • Anyone who finds "no two game days are the same" more exciting than stressful

What We're Looking For

  • Calm and composed under pressure, especially on the phone
  • Strong communication skills and genuine curiosity about customer problems
  • Detail-oriented and organized, especially when juggling multiple active issues
  • A genuine interest in sports (football knowledge is a strong plus, not a requirement)
  • Willingness to commit to the full football season through November 2026
  • Comfort with evening and weekend work during peak months

In your cover letter, tell us why you want to work in a startup environment at GameStrat and also share a memorable football moment in your lifetime.

Also answer in your cover letter if you are comfortable working irregular hours as well as being available to take and make phone calls on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights during the fall football season (mid-August to late November), with the understanding that this role could be structured as either a full-time 6-month contract or a part-time seasonal position depending on your availability.
