H2O Vision (H2oV) is a Canadian AI startup transforming aquatic safety through real-time behavior analytics and computer vision. We are seeking a motivated Junior Platform Engineer—preferably a recent graduate—to join our team and contribute to high-impact development projects that directly support public safety.

Role Overview

As a Junior Platform Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers and product leads on three critical infrastructure areas:

Smartwatch Application Integration

1. Assist in the development of lifeguard-focused wearable applications.

2. Enable real-time incident alerts that enhance emergency response in aquatic environments.

Full-Stack Feature Development

1. Support enhancements to both frontend and backend systems using React and FastAPI.

2. Contribute to dynamic dashboards, multi-site management tools, and training module integration.

Cloud-Based Deployment and Clustering

1. Participate in designing scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS or GCP.

2. Help support nationwide and international clients by improving system efficiency and enabling multi-facility support.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

· Exposure to Python (FastAPI) and/or JavaScript (React) through coursework, internships, or personal projects

· Interest in wearable devices, IoT, or real-time applications is an asset

· Willingness to learn quickly and contribute to a high-growth startup

· Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Compensation and Benefits

· Salary range: CAD $65,000 - $70,000 annual, commensurate with experience
