Intouch is a public company that provides analytics and insights to multi-location businesses across North America to assist with operational excellence and brand health. Current product lines include SaaS offerings as well as services backed by both internal software as well as integrations and third-party technology.
Job Overview
The CTO will be responsible to work with the existing teams at Intouch as a strategic partner where you will be responsible for driving the tech vision, mentoring the engineering team, and making key architecture and roadmap decisions that support existing business strategy. With most of the team located in Ottawa, this resource will ideally be Ottawa based and available to join the team in Kanata on Thursdays.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Refine the technical vision and roadmap in alignment with the established business strategy and goals.
- Assess current product offerings and technology stack and recommend improvements for scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to our product and market with a particular focus on AI.
Product & Architecture
- Provide architectural oversight and suggestions for the platform, ensuring best practices in code quality, infrastructure, and design.
- Guide decisions around technical debt, infrastructure modernization, and development velocity.
- Support the development team in implementing scalable microservices, APIs, and data architecture.
Team Development & Leadership
- Mentor and coach engineering leaders and individual contributors.
- Help foster a high-performing, agile engineering culture.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to align features and releases with customer needs and business strategy.
- Guide product management resources to ensure the roadmap is in line with both business strategy as well as the capabilities of the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CTO or equivalent leadership role.
- Experience with the latest advancements in AI technology and familiarity with how it may be integrated and utilized within existing product and code bases.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS), software development, and SaaS architecture.
- Experience with data pipelining, data transformation, and analytics
- Familiarity with PHP, Laravel, Typescript, AngularJS & Angular 19
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Availability for 2-3 days per week with flexibility for critical meetings or deadlines.
