Intermediate/Senior AI Enablement Developer

We are looking for a DevOps Software Developer to join our AI Enablement team - a group focused on accelerating the adoption and integration of AI-powered tools, workflows, and capabilities across engineering and business functions. You will serve as a technical leader who bridges the gap between cutting-edge AI capabilities and practical, production-grade implementation.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AI-powered developer tooling, internal platforms, and automation pipelines.
- Evaluate and integrate large language models (LLMs), AI APIs, and third-party AI services into existing systems.
- Lead proof-of-concept evaluation and adoption for emerging AI capabilities and drive them to production readiness.
- Define, collect and document: standards, patterns, and best practices for AI integration across the engineering organization.
- Collaborate with product management, development, and platform teams to identify high-impact AI enablement opportunities.
- Mentor developers on AI development patterns, prompt engineering, and responsible AI practices.
- Contribute to the evaluation and selection of AI frameworks, tools, and vendors.
- Champion responsible AI practices including bias evaluation, privacy considerations, and security review of AI-driven components.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript for building AI-integrated applications.
- Hands-on experience with LLM Tools: CoPilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Kiro or similar AI coding assistants and extending/customizing them.
- Experience building, configuring and deploying production-grade services with observability, reliability, and security in mind.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain AI concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain up to top secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of REST API design, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with MLOps practices, model fine-tuning, or evaluation frameworks.
- Background in DevOps/platform engineering or developer experience (DX) improvement.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code deployment and maintenance.
- Exposure to AI governance, responsible AI frameworks, or compliance considerations.
How we Work?
You will be expected to work in a Hybrid environment reporting to our Kanata, Ontario location 2 or more times per week.
