Job Title: Social Media Coordinator & Content Producer
Reports to: COO
Term: Full-Time Permanent
Primary Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $45,000 – $60,000

At the intersection of technology and cycling passion, MyVeloFit is revolutionizing how people ride with AI-powered bike fit and sizing tools. With a growing global user base and an engaged following across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, we’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator & Content Producer to help us create compelling, educational, and visually engaging content that inspires and empowers riders around the world.

Our Culture

At MyVeloFit, we believe bikes have the power to change lives—and content has the power to make cycling more accessible, fun, and informed. We’re a nimble team of creators, cyclists, and technologists who care about doing meaningful work. We’re not afraid to get nerdy about bike fit or test five crank lengths in a day, and we’re always looking for new ways to tell stories that help riders get more out of their ride.

Role Summary

This isn’t just a content creation job—it’s a storytelling role for someone who understands the power of video to inform, connect, and influence. As our Social Media Storyteller & Content Producer, you’ll be responsible for capturing and crafting videos that explain complex cycling and fit concepts in a clear, engaging, and accessible way. You’ll own the entire production pipeline—from planning and scripting to shooting, editing, and publishing—ensuring every piece of content reflects the MyVeloFit brand and provides value to our audience.

This is a hands-on, in-person role based in Ottawa, ideal for a content-savvy cyclist with a creative eye and a passion for sharing knowledge.

What You’ll Do

Content Production & Visual Storytelling

  • Own the full production process for short-form and long-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube videos, etc.).
  • Film on-site using professional camera equipment, set up lighting and audio, and direct footage capture as needed.
  • Edit high-quality, branded video content using the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Create content that explains technical bike fit concepts, riding techniques, and gear insights in a way that’s informative and easy to understand.

Social Media Channel Management

  • Develop and maintain a consistent publishing calendar across platforms.
  • Write thoughtful, platform-appropriate captions and titles.
  • Design enticing, and effective thumbnails.
  • Monitor trends and experiment with new content styles and formats.

Community Engagement & Growth

  • Participate in building a strong online community by engaging in comments and conversations.
  • Work closely with our internal team (on-screen talent, product experts) to generate ideas and script content that reflects real rider needs and questions.

Creative Strategy & Performance Tracking

  • Contribute ideas for educational series, campaign themes, and episodic content.
  • Use analytics to evaluate performance and refine our content approach.

Who We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 2+ years experience producing social video content (professional or personal projects welcome).
  • Strong video storytelling skills—can structure content to teach, explain, and engage.
  • Proficient in setting up and operating cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop (After Effects a plus).
  • Deep familiarity with social video platforms and trends (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok).
  • A strong personal connection to the cycling community—whether as a rider, racer, wrench, or fan.
  • Based in Ottawa and able to work in person with our team for regular shoots.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience creating educational or how-to content.
  • Ability to design simple motion graphics or infographics to aid explanation.
  • Photography and basic photo editing skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO, YouTube optimization, or performance marketing.

Benefits & Perks

  • Rewarding Pay: Competitive salary and opportunity for performance-based bonuses.
  • Professional Growth: As our content and social channels grow, so does the opportunity to shape this role and your career path.
  • Flexible Work Life: Video shooting work is in-person, but flexible hours and partial remote work are supported.
  • Team Bonding: A collaborative, fun-loving, and bike-obsessed team that values creativity and authenticity.
  • Industry Perks: Early access to MyVeloFit tools and exclusive discounts with leading cycling and outdoor brands.
