Infrastructure Deployment Program Manager (Edge / GPU Fleet)
PolarGrid
The Role
We are hiring an Infrastructure Deployment Program Manager to own the end-to-end rollout of our edge GPU fleet.
This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role focused on turning signed colo agreements into production-ready GPU capacity with predictable timelines. You will be responsible for coordinating hardware logistics, colo onboarding, physical deployment, acceptance testing, and handoff to operations across multiple sites in parallel.
If you have run tight infrastructure rollouts where delays are measured in revenue lost per day, this role is for you.
What You Will Own
- Colo onboarding and remote-hands execution across multiple providers
- Physical GPU server deployment, including rails, airflow planning, power budgets, PDUs, and A/B power feeds
- Fiber selection, optics, cross-connect ordering, and coordination with colo and ISP teams
- Burn-in, acceptance testing, and production readiness sign-off
- Freight coordination, customs, import/export, and delivery scheduling
- RMA handling, spare management, serial tracking, and asset lifecycle management
- Fault isolation across hardware, colo facilities, and network providers
- Standardized rack, cabling, labeling, and deployment playbooks
- Program management of parallel, multi-site rollouts with tight dock-to-production SLAs
What We Are Looking For
This is a senior role for someone who has been accountable for real infrastructure shipping on time.
You likely have experience with:
- Large-scale or multi-site colo deployments
- GPU or high-density compute hardware in production environments
- Coordinating remote-hands teams and third-party vendors
- Managing complex logistics chains with hardware vendors and carriers
- Running structured rollout programs with clear milestones and risk tracking
Strong Signals
- You have personally brought racks from dock to production
- You can diagnose whether an outage is a colo issue, ISP issue, or hardware failure
- You maintain playbooks and checklists because they save weeks over time
- You are comfortable saying “no” to rushed deployments that will cause downstream pain
Nice to Have
- Experience with edge compute or CDN-style infrastructure
- Familiarity with GPU server vendors and high-density rack designs
- Exposure to early-stage environments where process is built while executing
- Experience scaling from a handful of sites to dozens
