Role overview

We’re looking for a full-time engineer to join Quip’s founding team. In this role, you’ll be working closely with our CTO to:

• Build out new features for our frontend (React + Electron) and/or backend

• Develop external APIs & other integrations for or with other service providers

• Diagnose and address bugs and other performance issues as they arise

• Important note: specific tasks will vary based on the company’s needs

Required:

• Development experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript

• Experience building with AWS (e.g. DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EC2, Aurora)

• Strong grasp of version control (git)

Nice to have (foundations / previous experience with):

• CI / CD (github actions, terraform, docker)

• Frontend development (react)

• Deploying to and maintaining production apps

• Working with healthcare / sensitive data

• Building software for physicians

• Takes ownership of their work and is independently driven

• Can effectively prioritize and manage changing priorities

• Has strong roots in system design and building from the ground up

Compensation

• Salary: $80k - $120k (starting)
