RVezy is an innovative travel experience company that brings aspiring vacationers and RV owners together. Founded in 2016, we provide a platform for RV rentals available across most of Canada and the United States.

RVezy serves thousands of hosts and guests across North America, and you will be helping ensure they have a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience throughout each RV rental. About the Role:

Join us as a Senior Accountant at RVezy, where you'll be a key player in our financial team, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You'll be one of the go-to people for accurate financial reporting and analysis. Collaborate with our passionate team to drive innovation and compliance in our financial processes. Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Dive into our numbers to support month-end close and help prepare financial statements, keeping us on track and compliant.
  • Reconciliation: Keep our accounts in check with regular reconciliations, ensuring everything is accurate and complete.
  • Tax Compliance: Take charge of sales tax filings and compliance, making sure we're always playing by the rules.
  • Budget Management: Help us plan and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, offering insights and recommendations to keep us ahead.
  • Process Improvement: Spot opportunities to make our financial operations more efficient and effective.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, providing financial insights and support for exciting projects and initiatives.

Competencies, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Analytical Skills: You're an expert at interpreting complex financial data and turning it into actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail: Your eagle eye ensures accuracy and precision in all financial reporting and analysis.
  • Communication: You can explain financial concepts clearly to everyone, even those who aren't numbers people.
  • Technical Proficiency: You're comfortable with accounting software and Google Workspace Suite, especially Sheets. Experience with Business Intelligence tools is a bonus.
  • Organizational Skills: You excel at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines with ease.
  • Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment, building positive relationships across departments.

Required Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. We love candidates with or pursuing a CPA designation.
  • Experience: You've got at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience under your belt.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • US Corporate/Sales Tax Experience: Knowledge in this area is a big plus.
  • Payroll Experience: Familiarity with payroll processes will set you apart.
  • Online Marketplace or Travel and Tourism Experience: Experience in these industries is a great asset.
  • Familiarity with QBO/ADP: If you know your way around these tools, you're ahead of the game.

Location

The role will require you to work from our office in Centretown 2-3 days per week.
