Spiderwort is developing a novel biomaterial that will offer new avenues in regenerative medicine. We are using plant-derived cellulose to create a variety of scaffold architectures. Currently, we are in the pre-clinical stage of this product, and our promising results demonstrate that this new biomaterial is highly biocompatible and induces angiogenesis (blood vessel generation inside the scaffold).
