Role Summary
Trexity is seeking an Account Executive to help build and scale our mid-market sales motion as we transition from seed to Series A.
This is a net new role focused on acquiring mid-sized businesses with existing delivery volume and converting them into long-term Trexity customers. Our ideal customer profile and target verticals are defined, while our sales motion, funnel structure, and quota framework are still evolving.
This is a discovery-led, ROI-driven sales motion focused on diagnosing operational inefficiencies and building compelling business cases for change. Product demonstrations are supported by internal teams and used as needed within the sales process, enabling the AE to focus on pipeline generation, discovery, and closing mid-market opportunities.
As an early member of the sales team, you will play a critical role in both closing deals and shaping how we sell and measure success.
You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, while contributing directly to the development of our sales playbook and go-to-market execution.
This role is best suited for a strong hunter who thrives in ambiguity and is motivated by the opportunity to help build a revenue engine from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Generation & Prospecting
- Build and manage a consistent pipeline of mid-market opportunities
- Execute outbound prospecting via email, phone, and LinkedIn
- Maintain strong self-sourced pipeline generation alongside inbound leads
- Prioritize target accounts within defined verticals
Consultative Full-Cycle Sales Execution
- Own the full sales cycle from first touch to closed deal
- Run deep discovery to understand customer delivery operations, constraints, and inefficiencies
- Build ROI-based business cases for switching to Trexity
- Translate operational pain points into clear commercial value
- Engage and influence multiple stakeholders (operations, logistics, leadership, finance)
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within defined guidelines
- Collaborate with internal teams across sales support, onboarding, and technical integration to ensure a seamless transition from sale through launch
Mid-Market Customer Acquisition
- Target businesses with existing delivery volume and recurring demand
- Typical customer profile:
- 1,000 – 8,000+ deliveries per month
- $80K – $150K+ annual contract value
- Key verticals: Grocery, Meal Prep, Pharmacy, Retail
- Convert existing delivery volume from in-house or competitor providers to Trexity
Sales Motion & Playbook Development
- Contribute to defining sales stages and funnel structure
- Provide input on conversion benchmarks and pipeline metrics
- Help refine pricing, packaging, and positioning strategy
- Share structured insights from customer conversations
- Support ongoing refinement of ideal customer profile (ICP)
Pipeline & Performance Management
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking in HubSpot
- Ensure consistent pipeline coverage to support revenue generation (~5x coverage expectation)
- Manage deals with a structured and disciplined sales approach
- Contribute to defining emerging performance benchmarks
How You’ll Work
- Partner closely with Sales leadership on go-to-market strategy
- Work with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and retention
- Collaborate with Marketing on targeting and pipeline generation
- Share customer insights with Product to improve offering and positioning
Success Metrics
- Contribution to revenue aligned with evolving monthly and quarterly targets (quota is being defined as the team scales)
- Strong pipeline generation and consistent opportunity creation
- Progression and conversion across sales stages
- Growth in mid-market customer acquisition across core verticals
- Insight generation that helps shape pricing, ICP, and sales strategy
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- 3-5+ years of B2B full-cycle sales experience
- Proven success in a hunter-driven outbound role
- Experience closing $50K – $150K+ deals
- Strong consultative selling and discovery capability
- Comfortable operating without a fully defined sales playbook
- Ability to sell into complex, multi-stakeholder, operations-led environments
Preferred
- Experience in logistics, delivery, e-commerce, or marketplace businesses
- Exposure to operations, supply chain, or logistics buyers
- Experience in early-stage or high-growth environments
